When Jesus met the woman from Samaria at Jacob's Well, He saw the great thirst deep in her soul--this thirst that we of the human race share--the thirst for meaning, purpose, personal significance. He knew her heart and knew the things she did to try to quench this thirst and to satisfy this powerful inner need.

As He spoke with her, she began to open her heart, and He began to open her eyes to the only remedy--the only relationship--the only Person--Who could ever quench this thirst. For this relationship were we created. For this were we born. As He offered her Living Water, we also are invited to drink deeply from Him Who is our Well of Life.
